A for Anganwadi: How the process began
Based on the above inferences a meeting to address the issue of meaningful intervention into these problems was called for. The following were the participants
Representatives of Kerala travels, Health Action by People, Municipality and Panchayat authorities, Sastra Sahitya Parishad, social workers and the Anganwadi officers were the participants.
KTIL had given the commitment to find out the resources towards the project which will transform the anganwadi children to becoming the role model for India and also integrate the community at large of Varkala with the great tourism potential of the place. This in its evolution would transform Varkala into a very tourist friendly host community where the benefits of tourism activities will flow to the common people.
The project was titled Lullaby @ varkala. The NGO through which the implementation will be done was called Pro-Child.In the first phase the following essential things were implemented
